Aspire to be an Olympian, my TEDx Talk

🤾🏽‍♀️ The Olympics has started, and this reminds me of when I was 🎤 the opening speaker of the inaugural TEDxMorehouse, where my topic was,

🥇 “Everyone should Aspire to be an Olympian.”

🏃🏾‍♂️‍➡️ I was fortunate to compete in the Olympic Games and represent my father's homeland, Trinidad & Tobago. 🇹🇹 

🫵🏽 Your Olympics, in this case, is a metaphor. 🧐

🎓 Aspiring to be the first to graduate from college in your family 

📈 Owning your own business

🤔 Everyone should aspire for their own 🏅 Olympics because the journey is incredible.

🌍 I had the opportunity to compete in over 6️⃣0️⃣ 60 cities and 2️⃣5️⃣ 25 different countries.

🤝 I had the opportunity to develop relationships with individuals from around the world.

✈️ That journey not only allows you to achieve that dream or get close to it but also experience all of the intangibles and other opportunities that you may encounter in the process.

🤩 It is worth the journey! 🤩

🏅 So figure out what Your Olympics are and go after them! 👍🏼
