The Iceberg – The 1st Rule of Leadership

Great first session this morning with some attentive young men! Growing Leaders, Inc. Founder and CEO, Tim Elmore created Habitudes: Images that Form Leadership Habits and Attitudes.

Today, we introduced the Iceberg lesson. According to Dr. Elmore, his team and the result of years of research working with and preparing our youth for leadership, the Iceberg is the first rule of leadership.

The 10% Above the water is your Skill. The 90% Below the water is your Character. It’s what’s Below the surface that sinks the ship. It’s also what’s Below the surface that Supports the tip!
